Brockwell Pop

Happy Sunday folks!!

I've just had a sunbathe on the roof, armed with a book of Sudoku and my favourite songs. Hope you're all enjoying the sunshine. Make the most of it, I hear there's rain to come later this week. Now for today's outfit post. This is from a while back when London had it's first full day of sunshine at the end of March.

This lush colour blocking suede skirt is another magnificent vintage find from Pop Boutique, who not only sell vintage clothing but also make their own vintage inspired clothes which you can find on Asos! The colours are to die for and I love that the sides are different colours. I've paired it with this sweet heart print chiffon top from Oasap.

I spent to day with my best friend Chloe, exploring her nearest park in Herne Hill, Brockwell Park. We had a spot of lunch at the Lido Cafe (scrambled egg in the sun has never tasted so good!) and took in the wonderful views of London. In the evening we went to a little gig at The Islington where we danced the night away to a great little band called The Fresh Dixie Project. They play all over the the UK and even made an appearance at a festival in Germany, so be sure to check them out!

Who's ready for some more photos? Good, because we took loads!

Thanks for reading. Don't be shy, come say hi!!

I'll be back very soon with a very vintage wedding guest look. You can like my Facebook Page or follow me on Twitter for sneak peeks before I post.

Bye for now! X

Pizza Express in a Tribal skirt

Went for lunch with an old friend last week. Here's what I wore (Katy was my photographer).

No idea why I thought keeping hold of the Pizza Express box was a good idea for these photos. This skirt I bought from Forever 21. I love all the different colours as it means I can mix and match it with all sorts, like my bright purple tights! My jumper was one of my great finds from eBay. Its such a gorgeous green colour and has a lovely fit. After my favourite coat (Sailor one from Topshop) was stolen last year from a club, I was on the hunt for a new coat and have since bought 3, although these have not quite filled the gaping hole left from my other coat. This navy duffel coat is yet again another great find from EBay. It's originally from Next but is from the kids section. Apart from the slightly short sleeves, it fits me perfect.

After our lunch at Pizza Express, Katy and I decided to head to Leicester Square where the Men in Black 3 premiere was about to start. We got to meet the big man himself! Will Smith is just awesome, so nice and always happy to meet and greet fans.
We also got to meet Nicole Scherzinger who looked stunning in her risky Cengiz Abazoglu Haute Couture dress.
And if that wasn't enough, we then got to have a little chat with Emma Thompson. She is just amazing. I told her she looked fab and she told me her white suit was by Maria Grachvogel. It's so great to see a top British Actress supporting a top British Designer.
Finishing off with a quick reminder of this fantastic clothes swapping event coming to London in a few weeks time! RSVP the event page and why not like the Facebook page for information on more swapping events in the future!
Thanks for reading and following =]

Hello Sailor

I finally got round to wearing my Sailor dress that I bought from the first Judy's Market I visited in Leicester way back in March. I wore this to Judy's at Spitalfields a few weeks ago. This market happens every first Saturday of the month but won't be there in June as they're taking over Brighton for Vintage Nation. I was waiting until I dyed my hair bright red as I think it compliments the dress quite well and looks great paired with my red tights.
I even got papped by Judy's own photographer so look out for me on the blog and facebook page soon! Vintage fairs have become my new favourite thing. There's always so much variety and although vintage pieces can be quite expensive, you can find some bargains if you hunt enough.

If you can't afford to buy new clothes and have loads of stuff you don't want anymore, why not pop along to this clothes swapping event in London next month!

It's only £3 entry and you can bring all the clothes which you don't wear anymore and swap it for stuff you would wear whilst being entertained with some live music! You can find out more information on the Facebook page and why not join the event page and tell all your friends about it too!

If you're over on Chictopia, don't forget to vote for my Show us your sole contest entry!

All New People

For my birthday last December, I was bought tickets to see Zach Braff's West End play 'All New People'. Being a really big Zach fan, I wanted to look my best on the night and had saved my brand new Vero Moda dress for the special occasion.

The tights are also from Vero Moda and I paired it with my faux leather jacket and Chelsea Boots. I loved Zach's play and even got to meet the man himself afterwards (see below). I urge everyone to go see it before it finishes at the end of this month!

A day by the river

Last week I spent the day with my brother hanging out by the Thames and going on a general walkabout of central London. I decided to wear what is becoming my new favourite outfit. I love when you find pieces from different shops that fit together so perfectly!

The yellow skirt is from Forever 21, the top is by Henry Holland for Debenhams and the yellow brogues were £6 from Primark. I've finished the look with my anchor tights from New Look. They're really good quality as I still haven't managed to rip them yet, which is what usually happens to my patterned tights.

We also bumped into some funny looking characters by the river...

I have also entered this outfit into the Spring Bloom Contest at Chictopia and would love it if you could vote for me please. Thanks

House of Holland SS12 Pre Collection Sneak Peak

House of Holland have launched their Pre Collection for Spring/Summer 2012 and my oh my, Henry has not disappointed! This new collection, like HoH's others, shows lots of colour and the return of the stripes. Fresh to this new collection is the skeletal features. Here are a few of my favourite pieces.

I love the contrast between the girly flowers and the punky skulls/bones. My favourite item is the striped maxi dress with a twist, the twist being that the stripes are made out of rows of bones. I can also see those bone tights selling out just as quickly as HoH's ever popular other tights designs. Looking at this collection feels like Henry has somehow entered my mind and pulled out everything I love when deciding what to wear; The navy colour, bright stripes, funky skulls. Henry Holland is one of my favourite designers as his stuff is so easy and fun to wear. Whether it be his House of Holland collections or his H! label for Debenhams. Everyone should own a piece of Henry's work!! LOVE IT!!!

House of Holland - LFW 2011

This is probably the show I was most looking forward to. I absolutely love Henry Holland and own quite a few of his pieces for his collection for Debenhams. His stuff always has loads of colour and fun patterns. Here are a few of my favourite pieces from his LFW show:
I am loving this little denim number especially with the pearl beading detail which accentuates the bust and makes the waist appear slimmer.
This dress has such a vintage feel to it with the neutral check and the pearl beads around the neckline and hem. Its finished off with the thin brown belt. Henry's not made it look to sophisticated buy adding those brightly coloured socks for fun.
This is very 70s - something to be worn loud and proud. Its nice and tight so will show off curves very well.
Such a cute pink dress here and I love how its been layered over a slightly darker tee to dress it down a bit. Also it looks like its the return of the alphabet tights which always make an outfit more playful.
Is it a jacket? Is it a leotard? Who cares? I love it!!
This is adorable. I especially love the lace peeking over the neckline. There's so much colour that it makes it easy to accessorise.
