Don't Call Me Ska Face

Happy Friday people!

 Another day, another look.

Guess who got new shoes!! They're from Necessary Clothing and were on a special 'Markdown Monday' deal. Here's what I styled them with:

My jeans are from Topshop, the Jamie style. I like them because they're higher waisted than normal jeans. The monochrome shirt is from Forever 21.

You're all probably out partying. Me, I'm having a night in with sushi and wine with some of my housemates, I've got work super early tomorrow morning, so can't go too crazy tonight.

Don't forget to vote for my photo as part of Oasap's Autumn Fashion Look Contest HERE! Thanks for reading, liking, commenting, following, sharing and everything else you can do with a blog! I'll hopefully be back tomorrow, if not, maybe Sunday!!

Anchored by the Thames

Ahoy!! I hope you all enjoyed yesterdays post featuring Frances O'Leary's new collection. I'm trying to make more of an effort with updating this blog more, so today I bring you a new outfit post.

This was quite a casual ensemble for me. The anchor tee is from Urban Outfitters and is quite possibly the comfiest top ever! I've teamed it with cherry red skinny jeans from Primark, a navy denim jacket from Uniqlo and not forgetting my favourite navy vintage nurse shoes. My bag is from Forever 21 and I can almost fit the kitchen sink in it.

Southbank is probably my favourite area of London. I just love being by the river - I'm a pirate at heart, happiest by the sea (or rivers/lakes/puddles!).

Until next time....

Brown Sugar

This will be a quick wee post! Thank you to everyone who read the last post, I've had a great response and hopefully it will be featured on HelloGiggles very soon! But for now, it's back to fashion with an outfit I've been meaning to post for a while. This one is a little bit 70's.

My boho top is from Primark and I've teamed it with my favourite high-waisted flared jeans from Forever 21. These jeans fit me so perfectly it's like a constant hug to my bottom.

I've been to a lot of concerts recently, including some 1970's idols - Paul Weller, Ray Davies, Elvis Costello and Frankie Valli. Although I didn't get the chance to see the biggest band from that era, The Rolling Stones. So if like me you didn't go to Glasto this year, or catch Mick and Co. in Hyde Park, play this loud, close your eyes and pretend you were there!

I owe you all some photo's from my trip to Brighton. If you haven't already, you must check out the SS14 collection from Frances O'Leary. I got the very exciting opportunity to be there for the shoot and help out. Her prints are to die for!

That's all for now, I'll be back soon!

The Original Tour Box Office

As the end of exam celebrations are dying down, I am finding more time to post looks onto my Lookbook and Chictopia accounts and to do some more blogging. Here's what I wore to The Other Art Fair last weekend.

My first ever Romwe purchase finally arrived! This double breasted blouse is faultless in this seasons most popular colour, mint green. I love the big laced collar too. It also perfectly matches my green Faith shoes which I wore to my prom 6 years ago! After watching Tim Burton's Dark Shadows I decided to bring back the 70s in these High waisted flared jeans from Forever 21.

Don't forget to check out the Facebook event page for this exciting new Clothes Swapping event happening in London next month! If you can't make this one, then why not like the Facebook page to be told of more events in the future!

Get Some Colours On!

Hello all!!
Sorry for my lack of posts, I've had my life on hold whilst I finished my 2nd year of uni. Now all my coursework has been handed in and my exams finished, I'm back! And so begins my summer. One key look that I have seen cropping up is colour - the brighter the better. Now if you're like me and have a wardrobe dominated by mainly one colour (I'm a sucker for navy), then here are some essential pieces to spruce it up.
The orange floral dress from Dorothy Perkins is a must for anyone invited to a summer wedding. I fell in love with this dress the moment I saw it and have actually tried it on. It's very flattering on the more leggy of us. Another must for summer are block coloured jeans. Those cropped ones from Topshop are also available in electric blue, hot red, baby pink and deep purple. Lastly, brightly coloured brogues can heat up any outfit. I love these purple suede brogues from ASOS, also available in brilliant blue, bright green and sunshine yellow.

If all that colour wasn't enough to get you into the mood for summer, how about some Patrick Wolf?

Absolutely loving his new single 'The City', so put on your most colourful outfit, turn it up and let your summer start. Hope everyone has an excellent Bank Holiday and I'll be back very soon.
