I Saw Her Standing There

About 2 months ago, I popped down to Brighton for their fashion week. As much as I love London, it's always nice to get away from the hustle and bustle. My little trip was the perfect excuse to use my new Beatles suitcase!!

A woman came in to the shop I work in with one and my heart skipped a beat. She told me she got hers from TKMaxx, but it was cheaper to buy instore (£30) than online (£69.99). So I made it my mission to find myself this suitcase. I think I must have looked in about 6 different TKMaxx shops but was unsuccessful. So then I became Charlock Holmes, investigating the internet and I managed to find it on Amazon for £54.99.

I decided to match the rest of my outfit with the suitcase, which was perfect as monochrome was very in! My stripey dress is vintage and I actually bought it in Brighton a few years ago for a bargain price of £6! The studded faux leather jacket is from a little clothes shop in Stratford and my leather Chelsea boots are vintage, bought from eBay years ago. My sunglasses I had bought just a few hours earlier from a jumble shop called Snoopers Paradise down the lanes. I can spend hours in that place, it's crammed full of amazing things!

This is where I ate my breakfast. So relaxing just listening to the waves. I met up with a friend who lives nearby and we did some shopping and had a little wander around. We also bumped into this guy!

He played some Lady Madonna for us.

I found that my favourite joke is an actual bar in Brighton too!!

I'm looking forward to hopefully visiting Brighton again for the bank holiday next week.

And here's one final photo of me feeling like a celeb at Brighton Fashion Week. Cheers to the guys over at Create for this!

Thanks for reading and don't forget to check back tomorrow for another outfit post!!

Anchored by the Thames

Ahoy!! I hope you all enjoyed yesterdays post featuring Frances O'Leary's new collection. I'm trying to make more of an effort with updating this blog more, so today I bring you a new outfit post.

This was quite a casual ensemble for me. The anchor tee is from Urban Outfitters and is quite possibly the comfiest top ever! I've teamed it with cherry red skinny jeans from Primark, a navy denim jacket from Uniqlo and not forgetting my favourite navy vintage nurse shoes. My bag is from Forever 21 and I can almost fit the kitchen sink in it.

Southbank is probably my favourite area of London. I just love being by the river - I'm a pirate at heart, happiest by the sea (or rivers/lakes/puddles!).

Until next time....

Frances O'Leary SS 2014

Fashion designer Frances O'Leary has recently launched her Spring/Summer collection for 2014 and I can tell you looks amazing! I've had the privilege of interning for Frances over the last couple of months so it's been lovely to see the collection finally come to life! Before the new collection was shot, it had an exclusive preview at Brighton Fashion Week.

I got the chance to go along and watch the Zeitgeist catwalk shows. Being sat in the crowd with all the other fashion spectators meant I got to see the reactions to the new collection first hand. Everyone seemed really impressed and there was a real buzz as soon as it hit the catwalk - and why not, check out those prints!

Here are some behind the scenes pictures from the photoshoot day.

And here are the finished shots!!

This new collection really is beautiful and I'm really looking forward to start helping Frances with the next collection. Make sure you stay up-to-date with this collection and more over on the Official Facebook page and don't forget to check out the Frances O'Leary website for prices and the past collection.

I'll be back soon with some new outfit posts but until then enjoy this wonderfully shot video of the collection by Create Studios
