Journey

Evening!

Friday night I went to watch my dear friend Martyn's band, Black Cannons, play a gig in Shoreditch. They were on top form as always! Here's what I wore.

This tartan suit is actually 2 separate pieces from different shops. The blazer I got from a charity shop which is originally from Primark with some embellishments added by the previous owner. These tartan trousers are from H&M. I love that they're called 'slacks'. They are so perfect for winter with their thicker and really comfortable material, and only £14.99! I decided to dress this suit down with a band tee from Forever 21 and navy Converse. Of course I'm also wearing my trusty Peace Sign pendant by Tiffany & Co.

Believe it or not, I am stood outside my front door. It was painted this bright pink colour a year or 2 ago to match the colour scheme of our estate agents, who we live above. I'm not really a fan of the colour pink, but I guess this makes our place stand out from the rest and it's a little different.

I'll hopefully be back tomorrow with another outfit post featuring a very special dungarees look, see you then!

Goody Two Shoes

I'm back with a new look. This one is more rock chick!

Bought these tartan trousers from a little boutique in Stratford for £5. Fell in love with them straight away. They can toughen up any outfit! Went back to the Salvation Army charity shop just off Regent's street and bought myself the most beautiful vintage dress which will be featured in my next post tomorrow =]

Hot Tramp, I Love You So!

Today is David Bowie's 65th birthday, so what better way to celebrate than to have him on repeat and wear his face.

I bought this Amplified Bowie tee about year ago from TKMaxx. Wearing it today got me thinking about how essential it is to own retro band tees as they'll never go out of fashion. 30+ years after these artists first hit the music scene, they're are just as popular today.

H&M do some great tees featuring Madonna, The Beatles and Pink Floyd, priced at £4.99 and £9.99. Topshop also do some although they are a bit more pricey, at £22, but have some interesting designs.

I particularly like the Def Leppard one with the back motif. A music lovers wardrobe is not complete with some Beatles (I should know, I have about 10!)

Don't think I've forgotten about you boys!! Here are some retro sweaters for you featuring birthday boy Bowie.

Topman have a selection of over 20 retro band tees ranging from £22-£36. Here's an assortment of what they have to offer

And girls, just because they're made for men, doesn't mean we can't wear them too. I find that sometimes a man's tee has a better fit.
To end this post, I'll leave you all with this =]
