Camden Dungarees - OOTD

Evening folks!

Today is a big day as my blog has turned 5 years old!! I was going to celebrate with a fun little shoot but I'm all ill and gross at the moment, and there's not enough makeup in the World to hide the bags under my eyes and my Rudolph red nose. So, instead I'm showing off an outfit from last summer that I never got around to posting. That means back to photos from my old camera - apologies!

This outfit was a lot of fun to put together! I had been lusting over denim dungarees for a while when eventually I came across this pair from H&M. Unfortunately they don't seem to do them in this deep indigo colour anymore, but they do have them in a lighter blue. They also have this fab grey pair in the sale for just £15! As it was quite a nice sunny day, I thought I'd add some yellow with my Orla Kiely for Uniqlo long sleeved top. It is part of their HEATTECH range. It's basically a type of thermal top which features Japanese technology which means it's a thin and light stretchy material which not only keeps you warm in the winter, but can also help keep you cool on a hot day too! Keep scrolling down for a special giveaway... These yellow brogues are one of my favourite pairs of shoes. I bought them from Primark for just £6 and they've been brightening up my outfits for the last couple of years. I finished off my look with a pair of fake geeky glasses (yeah, I'm one of those people!).

These photos were taken on a walk from Kentish Town to Camden. You're always bound to find a pretty coloured door along these streets. I love Camden in the summer. There's always the markets for a good old rummage, tasty food from all over the World, a beautiful canal to sit along in the sun, oh and a parrot...?

Now, to celebrate my Bloggiversary (that's what people call it, right?), I've decided to host a little giveaway to say thank you to everyone for reading, sharing, liking, favouriting, retweeting and commenting on my little blog. This isn't just a competition for the girls, it's also open to the men out there, hell, even kids and babies can get in on this too (but they might need a bit of help entering...). Remember the HEATTECH range from Uniqlo I told you about earlier in this post? As most of us are feeling the cold, I thought it would be very appropriate to giveaway one piece of your choice from the collection. It's not just tops they do in this special winter technology, they also have trousers, leggings, tights and socks.

This is not a sponsored prize, it will be funded from my own pocket. Just a little something to show my appreciation to all of you :)

To be entered, all you'll need to do is leave a little comment below with your email address. You can also retweet or share my blog links on Twitter and Facebook for extra entries. I'll be drawing the winner old school style with names in a hat (a vintage style top hat of course!). You have until 9pm Monday 9th February 2015 GMT. So what are you waiting for!!

Thanks again to everyone who has ever interacted with my blog over the last 5 years. I can promise you'll see it grow a lot this year. Watch this space :)

Hot Tramp, I Love You So!

Today is David Bowie's 65th birthday, so what better way to celebrate than to have him on repeat and wear his face.

I bought this Amplified Bowie tee about year ago from TKMaxx. Wearing it today got me thinking about how essential it is to own retro band tees as they'll never go out of fashion. 30+ years after these artists first hit the music scene, they're are just as popular today.

H&M do some great tees featuring Madonna, The Beatles and Pink Floyd, priced at £4.99 and £9.99. Topshop also do some although they are a bit more pricey, at £22, but have some interesting designs.

I particularly like the Def Leppard one with the back motif. A music lovers wardrobe is not complete with some Beatles (I should know, I have about 10!)

Don't think I've forgotten about you boys!! Here are some retro sweaters for you featuring birthday boy Bowie.

Topman have a selection of over 20 retro band tees ranging from £22-£36. Here's an assortment of what they have to offer

And girls, just because they're made for men, doesn't mean we can't wear them too. I find that sometimes a man's tee has a better fit.
To end this post, I'll leave you all with this =]

A day in London (Spitalfields + Covent Garden)

I went exploring in London today. Visited Spitalfields Market for the first time ever, been wanting to go for ages. However I think I chose the wrong day as there were only few stalls set up today, but there was one great vintage stall. Also visited a favourite shop of mine in Covent Garden called Pop Boutique. Its a great little retro/70s inspired shop. They sell some great baggy jumpers and in the summer they have some beautiful Boho style tops. Everything in the shop is very unique, there is usually just one of each garment and the prices aren’t as ridiculous as you’d think. So if you’re ever in/near Covent Garden, its definitely somewhere to check out. Below are pictures of the 2 items I brought today, which I’m extremely happy with. Please let me know what you think, Thanks =] (and excuse my messy hair, I need a trim!)

I brought this really gorgeous lace skater dress today in Spitalfields Market. I’m thinking of going back as they had some really great vintage/Victorian pieces.

I also brought this cute wolf jumper from a retro shop in Covent Garden called Pop Boutique. Its actually a mans jumper, but was only £15 and they have loads of other animal designs.
