Kingfisher

Recently, my friend Joshi came to visit me here in London. You may remember from my previous post, we went to London Fashion Weekend during his first day. We then devoted the second day to finding Joshi his perfect bike to take back to Canterbury. He'd already carried out his own research on what make he wanted and we just needed to find a shop not too far away that stocked them, so to Highbury & Islington we headed!

Dress (worn as a top) // Choies     Jeans // Monsoon     Nike Air Trainers // eBay     Camera Bag // Asos     Sunglasses // Primark     Necklace // Present

I was sent this white dress from Choies to wear and review (read my full report here!). As you can see, it was pretty short to wear as a dress, so I decided to wear it as a long top. I wanted to show off my new Nike's and remembered I had these aquamarine jeans from Monsoon that matched with the vibrant colours perfectly.

I also took the chance to show off my new camera bag. It's so perfectly me in its navy and white stripes! It's by New Look but I bought it from Asos

So, back to our bicycle hunt in North East London. Joshi knew he wanted a Bobbin Bike, and we managed to find a Micycle shop in Islington that stocked this brand. From looking online, Joshi quite liked the Daytripper (anyone else just sing the Beatles song?), but after testing it plus others, he decided on the Kingfisher, and how very apt considering the colours of my outfit for the day! Whilst his new bike was being serviced, we popped to a lovely vegan cafe called Ez and Moss, where we had some delicious food and scrumptious carrot cake. After picking up Joshi's bike, we took a long and beautiful walk to Kings Cross, where we ended his visit along the canal.

Now, in my last post I hosted a London Fashion Weekend giveaway, but no one has entered yet, so I've decided to tempt you all a bit more by adding some extra goodies in to the bag! Here's what is already in the giveaway.

Hello Fashion magazine, Garnier cleansing wipes, Lavazza coffee, Maybelline Great Lash black mascara, Artelac Rebalance eye drops, Essie nail varnish, Label.m shine spray for hair and a £25 gift card for Hello Fresh, all inside an exclusive tote bag designed by Lulu Guinness for London Fashion Weekend. All this apparently wasn't enough to tempt anyone into entering. So here's what I've added.

Lee Stafford My Big Fattest Silky Smoother hairbrush and colour fade protection oil treatment, gold bejewelled cuff from Very, Oriflame triple core lipstick, Ecco leather purse, and Green People anti-ageing facial oil and hydrating firming serum.

All you need to do is leave a comment with your email address so I can contact you if you win. You don't even need to follow me, but if you'd like to then you can find me on Bloglovin, Twitter, Instgram and Facebook. Winner will be chosen next Sunday 12th October at 7pm BST.

Thanks for reading and good luck with your entry :)

I Still Love My Ghetto

Happy Sunday, the sun is back!

As promised, a post on my recent trip to Paris!

Well it started with someone not bringing their passport to check-in for our departure on the Eurostar (wasn't me before you ask!). Thankfully we were able to change our tickets for a later train so we only lost out on a couple of hours.
Our host for this trip was my old housemate Thomas, and my what a host he was! There was cheese and wine on arrival, a 90's party by the Moulin Rouge and a 6am hike up to the Sacré Coeur for a view of the city, and this was just our first night!

The next day was very wet and windy, so we spent a lot of the day popping in and out of shops and made a visit to the most amazing wine cellar I've ever seen. I did manage to get the first outfit post of the trip though!

This fun and colourful wall of graffiti was just screaming at me for a photo! My outfit was very dark - black and navy is a favourite colour pairing of mine, so the bright colours made a great contrast, especially with the dreadful weather. The black  leather jacket is from Topshop but was a gift from my friend Scarlet. I've paired it with my black leather shorts from Debenhams, navy Gerard Darel jumper (check out the last picture to see what it says!), navy knitted tights and navy Converse hi-tops.

Here are some more photos of the day, including that wine cellar and beautifully decorated glass roof of a department store.

I'll be back with day 2 from Paris featuring, you guessed it, the Eiffel Tower!! Thanks for reading =]

The Abbey

Happy Bank Holiday Weekend!

Hope you're all having a lovely time in this glorious sunshine. One of my cousins is coming over from Ireland this afternoon, so what better excuse to share my St Paddy's day outfit with you all - yeah, I know, I'm reaalllyyy behind.

I spent the day hanging out with Chloe around Brick Lane and Spitalfields. I thought it was only right to wear the family colours of gold and green, with a dash of double denim. I'm quarter Irish with a big part of my family living in Donegal, hence the team top. It matches perfectly with my yellow brogues from Primark (though I almost went with my yellow Converse!). My favourite pair of jeans are from Topshop and the denim jacket is a bargain purchase from eBay, originally from Next. I bought the sunnies just a few minutes before, round the corner in Spitalfields Market.

Check out that beauty behind me!

There's nothing quite like a lovely stroll around the market on a sunny day with all the yummy treats they have to offer. We took a walk down Brick Lane too and came across a wonderful surprise outside a little jumble shop... Footloose on vinyl!! Of course I had to buy it, what with it being my favourite film/song. Enjoy these photos from the rest of the day. I'll be back with part 2, my evening outfit.
