Radio Days

Hello!

Sorry I've been a bit quiet. I had an incident Thursday after work involving a man with a flick blade. I am A-OK but it has shaken me up a wee bit.

Anyway, on a lighter note, I was recently introduced to a wonderful vintage shop just around the corner from Waterloo station. What I loved most about this place was the amazing service. Each time I've been, one of the owners Lee has been there and he is an absolute pleasure! On my first visit I bought a super cute 60's style tartan skirt and a mint green jumper with a sweet collar detailing. Here I am wearing the skirt.

I was instantly drawn to this skirt, not just for the tartan pattern, but because of the unique fastening. The laced up front does give it a slight 70's feel to it. I paired it with a plain H&M t-shirt, a burgundy boyfriend cardigan originally from Topman but bought from a charity shop, a bronze bejewelled heart necklace from New Look, knee high cream socks, brown boots and a brown ribbon in my hair.

I really do love the fit of this skirt!

On my second visit to Radio Days, I popped in with my camera and asked Lee if I could take a few snaps for the blog. He very kindly said yes. Here's a little bit of what you can expect to see.

This shop has a little bit of everything; magazines, homeware, woman's clothing, men's clothing, even vintage kids clothing (check out the mini leather jacket!). Whilst I was walking around snapping these shots, I noticed a beautiful yellow embellished shift dress. It was a couple of days before pay day, so I told myself, if I was meant to have the dress, then it will still be there in a few days time...and it was! I'll be showing it off very soon :)

That's all for today. Thanks for reading and stay safe!!

Monsoon

Hello!

My Panda post from yesterday has gone down a storm over on Lookbook and Chictopia. Thank you to everyone for the new likes, follows and comments! Don't forget, you can get your very own Panda Sweatshirt right HERE! And now for something a little different and a bit more me.

This beautiful dress is from Monsoon, it's so elegant and I feel like such a lady in it. Such a gorgeous autumn colour and it goes so well with my dark green lace up boots by Graceland from Deichmann.

It's quite difficult to truly capture the wonderful dark green colour of these boots, this is the closest I could get. They feel a lot higher than they look but are very comfortable to walk around the office in. My bowler hat is by H&M but I got it from the very first clothes swapping event by SwapAholicsUK. They have a very special men's only swap shop happening soon to celebrate Movember. Us girlies are more than welcome to come along to this swap, but it will only have men's clothing available. This suits me just fine because we all know how much warmer men's jumpers are!

This pretty heart necklace I bought a few years ago from New Look. I love its vintage style.

Be sure to follow the blog on GFC, Bloglovin or Facebook as I'll be running an exclusive giveaway very soon!

Thanks for reading, following, commenting, liking, hyping and everything else!

Monsoon Reward Event

If like me, you have reward/discount cards for almost every shop in the World, then you probably received an invitation from Monsoon to attend their exclusive reward event which takes place tomorrow (Thurs 12th Sept). There will be 50 selected stores holding this event which includes a free exclusively designed Monsoon necklace when you spend £80 or more, personal styling advice and tips, a complimentary glass of fizz (and much more!) AND 15% off all full priced ladies' and childrenswear. If your nearest Monsoon store is not participating, fear not, as these offers are available online with your special rewards code (unfortunately you'll have to provide your own bubbly). Monsoon has recently become one of my favourite places to shop, so I thought to get you all ready for tomorrow, I'd share my top picks!

First up are the day dresses. These are all perfect for work and social events. I am most likely going to buy the first tartan dress. Everytime I go into Monsoon, I'm lusting over it and with 15% off tomorrow, it's the perfect time to buy it!

If you're looking for something a bit more special, how about one of these glamorous numbers? Be the bell of the ball in a Gatsby inspired flapper dress.

With Winter quickly approaching, why not invest in a warm new coat. Monsoon have lots of styles to offer, from this beautifully decorated Mac or this fur lined hood Duffle.

Head over to Monsoon's website as they also have shoes for all occasions, pretty jewellery and practical bags. I'll be sure to come back and show you what I bought on the night!

Brown Sugar

This will be a quick wee post! Thank you to everyone who read the last post, I've had a great response and hopefully it will be featured on HelloGiggles very soon! But for now, it's back to fashion with an outfit I've been meaning to post for a while. This one is a little bit 70's.

My boho top is from Primark and I've teamed it with my favourite high-waisted flared jeans from Forever 21. These jeans fit me so perfectly it's like a constant hug to my bottom.

I've been to a lot of concerts recently, including some 1970's idols - Paul Weller, Ray Davies, Elvis Costello and Frankie Valli. Although I didn't get the chance to see the biggest band from that era, The Rolling Stones. So if like me you didn't go to Glasto this year, or catch Mick and Co. in Hyde Park, play this loud, close your eyes and pretend you were there!

I owe you all some photo's from my trip to Brighton. If you haven't already, you must check out the SS14 collection from Frances O'Leary. I got the very exciting opportunity to be there for the shoot and help out. Her prints are to die for!

That's all for now, I'll be back soon!
